Education... Texas? Dang.

On, Texas Education, Extended Or Fix, according to Carson Hagelman's commentary that deals with Texas education and these specific individuals want to provide longer classes to retain the information that is given to children, and allow for lower-income children to become fast-paced learners retain information and keep them at the same pace as children who belong to parents who belong into a higher tax bracket, due to this we can see how these politicians have included and made the education system a privilege, and DeMatthews director of Texas Principle Leadership Academy, proposed that this systematic oppression comes from low-paid jobs, low-funding, and horrible second chance education.
Due to this, the American school system has become faulty, and a laugh to the faces of most educational professionals and politicians.

Drugs...

The war on drugs, the use of drugs, and the recreational use of drugs all have one problem. There is no approved method to consume and produce them. Perhaps the fact of the matter is- there is no research to provide and prove that perhaps some illicit drugs can be used to help humankind. Marijuana, for instance, according to the united states is worse than heroin. However, perhaps this has to do with the opioid in heroin and the pain-relieving effect it has on the body during severe cases. But, what is it about the use of hardcore drugs that scares the public? Propaganda?  After all, during the Nixon administration the "War On Drugs" began and during this time frame, most hippies brought to life cannabis, later deemed the gateway drug. But why? Is it due to the excessive entry of illicit drugs into the United States? People, who become degenerate crack-heads? The pain and loss of a person close to you? Or, is it just a dangerous space to explore? The effect these drugs not only have on their user but the users own family is horrific. Perhaps, if there were more strict regulation of drugs and extensive research behind them to help provide a safer user experience for the public, would there be less money spent on drug-related crimes? An increase in tax-profit? A better net for the protection of a nations person? When will Texas be the first state to make the next step in not only ending the war, heavy usage, and provide a better and safer public for all of its people, even if it is a harsh state to begin with, but, with this liberation can come better Tax-Revenue to pay if not most debt, all debt in the state and create better programming and funding to create a better and safer state, and then later a nation.

Texas (DEMO)graphics

According to my classmate Elijah Lopez's blog Minority report, he recently made a comment in one of his entries: A Progressive Shift about how the sociodemographics in the state of Texas is going to be consumed by one of the fastest growing populations in Texas- Hispanics- by 2020. And as a person of Hispanic descent I can say that, yes, we are the majority minority that will perhaps cover more than 1/2 of the population of our state; however, Mr. Lopez states that perhaps as more Latinx people join the Lone-Star State that one of the largest political shifts will happen. Texas can become blue. Even if this were to be true, I would like to take the time to remember what actually happens politics and the hardship the community will most likely face. As a community with a large population that only gets larger, most people who are of Hispanic descent probably come from backgrounds where education was not important, and with this comes the idea that voting is perhaps not the most important, nor does their vote matter. Wich can actually lead to a low-voter turn out in the community. And most notably, gerrymandering, the practice of dividing the state into sections target key groups to hold power in a continuous effort for a political party to be in charge.
